Arrival and Dismissal

Dear Hisle Families,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year.  One of our campus goals is to ensure effective processes to keep students safe.  The campus and classrooms will open promptly at 7:10 am.  Children can receive a hot breakfast until 7:25 am.    Children must be in class at 7:30 am or be considered tardy, and attendance will be taken at 7:45am for present or absent!  

Please note the following below:

• We will be using this system to allow for safety during dismissals. You are in charge of making changes through the app or online.

• There is no parking at Hisle during arrival or dismissal after the first two days of school to allow for students to have a CLEAR path as a walker. Cars should be in a car lane for arrival and dismissal.

• You will enter the car rider waiting area for RED, BLUE, and GREEN on Flexibility Lane!

 Please review the map and descriptions of each of the five Arrival/Dismissal areas listed below:

• Bus (PreK-5th Grade):  Located at the back entrance, outside of the MPR

At dismissal, this group will leave the building first.  Staff members will take roll as each child gets on the bus to go home.   Please remember the only students that may ride a bus are those that live within the appropriate bus routes.  Families will continue to use their smart-tag with information about address and bus stop location.

• Child Care/YMCA Programs:  Located in the cafeteria and back entrance

At dismissal, this group will leave the building second. Children who attend the after school program with the YMCA will be escorted by staff to the cafeteria, and all other centers will meet their children in the back drive by the campus MPR.  Prior to leaving, Hisle staff will take roll to verify occupants.  

• CAR RIDER:  We will host two car lanes!

  • RED Car Rider (1st-5th):  Located adjacent to the two story side of our building. 

  • BLUE Car Rider (Special Circumstance)  Located at the front of the building. 

  • GREEN Car Rider (PreK-Kinder & 1st-5th Grade Siblings):  Located closest to San Gabriel Road.

You will choose the car lane that corresponds to your youngest child.  All others will join your youngest at the specific lane.  We ask that families remain in the vehicles to maintain the flow of loading children and efficient and safe procedures.  Remind your child(ren) to stay in the vehicle until it comes to a complete stop before your child opens the door to exit your vehicle.  To keep the line moving efficiently, please pull your vehicle to the first teacher (#1) and we will send your child to your vehicle.  In the morning, encourage your child to be ready with belongings!

• Walker/Biker:  Located by flag poles of the campus.  At dismissal, this group will leave the building last to allow for traffic to clear.  Children who are walking or riding their bike home will enter and exit the front door of our campus only.   Please understand children will be escorted to the flagpole to begin their journey home on bike or foot.   There will be NO supervision for your child once we reach the flagpoles of our campus and Frontenac Lane.  If you put your child in a car to come to campus, you are a CAR RIDER!    

In order to ensure that students arrive at their intended destination, please ensure that you have an email associated with your child’s student information account AND download the School Dismissal Manager App. YOU WILL RECEIVE A WELCOME LETTER TO SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT BY AUGUST 8TH.  During the year, if dismissal needs to change, family members can make changes directly in the app by 1:30 pm. Classroom teachers and the campus are unable to take any dismissal changes.  Thank you for your patience as we work together to ensure that our students are safe as they come to and from school.
